Movies @ the Park

One of the events that we do is Movies at the park. We show a free movie, giveaway free popcorn and drinks, and look for opportunities to build relationships. This also gives us a chance to just share God's love with the community without expecting anything in return.

We have done a movie every Friday night throughout the summer. The Incredibles, Hitch, Lemony Snicket, Napoleon Dynamite, Radio, etc.

Depending on the weather...we've had crowds from 300 - 1400.

This is downtown Columbia where we are moving our church plant, and where we hope to plant another Hispanic Congregation.

Oh...we've done this in partnership with the dept. of Parks and Recreation, so we are gaining favor with the city as we reach out to it.

I'm not sure if you remember or not, but I started a Hispanic church last fall. It was on the NW side of Columbia.

Right now we are building relationships and making connections in the downtown area. There are 60,000 latinos in Columbia.

None of the above...we are starting this one from scratch. We have a nucleus of relationships (mostly non-believers) who are interested in knowing more about having a relationship with God.

So...scratch
